System Enhancements

thermostatCarbon Monoxide Detectors – Carbon Monoxide is an odorless, colorless gas that is produced from incomplete combustion of fossil fuel appliances, including gas furnaces, oil furnaces, gas fireplaces, and even automobiles. A high quality Carbon Monoxide Detector is one more layer of protection for your family – to buy online, go to the Shopping Cart.

Smoke Detectors – When a home is on fire, you have only minutes – if not seconds – to get you and your family out safely. Smoke inhalation is a major cause of death in house fires. To buy online, go to the Shopping Cart.

Humidifiers – Do you have dry throat, dry nose or static electricity? There is an optimum humidity level that is not too much or too little, yet most homes do not have good humidity control. Installing a humidifier on your heating and cooling system is the best way to avoid the dryness normally occurring while your heating system is operating. For an INSTALLED Humidifier, go to the Shopping Cart.

Air Filtration and Purification - For a complete understanding of the causes of poor indoor air quality, the effects of bad air and the solutions for addressing the problem go to www.asats.net.

Programmable Thermostats – A programmable thermostat is not only great at saving energy by adjusting the temperature when the space is not being used, but it can also help make you more comfortable while you are in the home. If you like to sleep with a little cooler temperature, the thermostat can automatically adjust to accommodate you. In the morning when it is time to wake up, you can have the temperature increase so you don’t have to get out of bed to a cold house.

Surge Protectors – Many things can cause a voltage or power surge, including lightning strikes. A properly sized and placed surge protector can be a small investment to help protect your more costly investments.

Hard Start Kit – System Life Maximizer – Some higher efficiency systems are designed to use a hard start kit or compressor “booster” to help the system start during periods of high use. A hard start kit can help extend the system life by reducing the wear and tear caused by the system starting in extreme conditions.

Time Delay Relay – Air conditioners are not designed to turn off and immediately back on, as in the case of a power flicker where everything shuts off and tries to restart. A time delay relay prevents the damage caused by short cycling by allowing an air conditioner pressures to equalize before trying to restart.

Humidifiers – A humidifier adds additional moisture to air to make it more comfortable for the occupants, typically during the heating season. As the air temperature drops outside and air is heated inside, humidity levels can drop to levels below comfortable levels. A humidifier evaporates moisture as air passes through it to bring levels back to their optimum point.

Humidistat – A humidistat is a controller for a humidifier to turn the unit on and off to maintain desired humidity levels.

Dehumidifiers – In many high humidity areas the moisture content of the air remains higher than is advisable even during the cooling season, which could lead to condensation on walls and damage to your home. A dehumidifier removes excess moisture to help keep humidity at the optimum level.

Extended Warranties – If your heating and cooling system is relatively new, it may still be lacking in coverage in case the system breaks or fails. We have programs back by a national insurance company that can be added to any system, new or old, to insure you pay as little as possible if you ever have a problem.

Ceiling Saver Switch and Drain Pan – If you have a unit in the attic, the last thing you want is to find out a problem exists when water is coming through your ceiling. A ceiling saver switch is designed to shut the unit off BEFORE water damage can occur, and the overflow drain pan is the extra protection to catch any water that may leak from the unit and direct it outside.

Noise Reduction Systems – Many units make more noise than they should. Ductwork “popping” noises, air flow noises, jet noises, etc. Our noise reduction packages can help reduce the annoying sounds that you might be living with every day.

Temperature Zone Control - Many people suffer from rooms that are TOO hot or TOO cold in their home, only to be told by other contractors that there is nothing they can do. A Zone Control system uses your existing ductwork and heating and cooling system, and uses dampers that open and close to control the flow of air to your rooms when you need it with individual thermostat controls.
