Sales person (Rob) was very personable and informative. He spent 2 1/2 hours going over 4 different options for replacing the AC unit and optionally the furnace, after he took a look at it giving detailed information about it to me, as well as providing information about Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) options for the furnace. He also provided information about the AC unit which is a Goodman and why Goodman had gained a bad reputation (previous company that used to make Goodman products, selling to anyone sales approach, and a lot of botched self installs), but nowadays it is a perfectly fine product as long as it is professionally installed and maintained. I did some research on the internet about it to fact check what he had said and what I found matched exactly what he had told me. I had other estimates done and one of the sales people for one of them also gave the same evaluation that he had. I’m a highly detailed person and he provided me with reams of details which I appreciated. Based on our conversation he recommended that I get the low end AC unit based on my needs. I appreciated that he didn’t try to upsell me. He also made sure I got the smallest AC unit (1.5 ton) and this was reflected in the pricing. He was also fair minded about what type of furnace I should get if I did want to replace it with the recommendation for the mid level model if I was going to do it. He also didn’t push me to replace the furnace, he just presented the options and costs for doing it. He provided extensive information about the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) options that were available including electrostatic filter, UV bulb, and HEPA filtration. Again he didn’t try to upsell me to the top level, but said that his customers that opted to get IAQ options were generally very happy with the mid-level which included the electrostatic filter and UV bulb. In the end I decided to go with the electrostatic filter alone which he again didn’t try to upsell me about and I found out from him when he was double checking the furnace to ensure he had the the right information about it that they had the ability to upgrade the IAQ to a higher level if I wanted to later on. So he didn’t use that in an attempt to convince me get the IAQ in the first place. He was clear on the additional cost of the different IAQ options. He also provided me the cost of doing quarterly replacement of the electrostatic filter and it was very affordable. The switch from an annual filter replacement to quarterly replacement is only $37/year. I had many requests for different estimates based on the different combinations of furnace, IAQ options, and types of AC units. He responded very quickly to my requests, very often e-mailing me very quickly multiple times in back-and-forth fashion starting shortly after I made my first request for information. We communicated via phone conversation occasionally, but it was minimal. I also appreciated his good-natured tolerance of my bouts of off topic gabbiness. I did go with them for the installation of the electrostatic filter on my furnace and replacement of my AC unit. I had one estimate that had a lower price, but I wasn’t provided with information to be able to compare it “apples-to-apples” with his estimate (the unanswered questions — did the price for the other estimate include all permits, taxes, removal & disposal of the old AC unit & clean up after installation), it didn’t include a year of furnace and AC unit maintenance like his did. The 10 year warranty for the other estimate only included parts, not like the 10 year warranty for his which included parts and labor. Installation was smooth. Techs were professional and personable. They answered the few questions I had. Overall, I find Aire Service to be excellent and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Absolutely! Aire Serv professionals in River Hills service both older workhorses and the latest high-efficiency furnaces. We pinpoint problems and deliver safe, reliable furnace repair. And since our service professionals are brand-agnostic and warranty-savvy, we can service older systems with care and newer furnaces using the right OEM procedures. Regular maintenance is the key to a furnace that runs smoothly year after year. Our furnace cleaning and tune-up services are designed for your specific system, helping it run efficiently, spot potential problems early, and last longer. No matter the age of your unit, if your heat fails, we’re available for emergency HVAC service in River Hills. Our skilled crew arrives prepared with the tools and parts needed to get your home comfortable again. If a repair won’t provide the best return, we’ll guide you toward a replacement that’s correctly sized and energy-conscious.
-
Frequent short cycles (your furnace turning on and off), or rooms that stay too cold or too warm usually indicate something isn’t working right. Common causes include worn sensors, clogged filters, or blower issues, which a tune-up or repair can often resolve. When your carbon monoxide alarm sounds during furnace operation—or you observe soot around registers, rust on the flue, or severe window condensation—treat it as a safety emergency. Turn off the system, ventilate the home, and call for emergency HVAC service immediately. Should any of these symptoms arise, having your furnace professionally cleaned and tuned up can restore performance, stabilize temperatures, and prevent sudden breakdowns. If your furnace is over 15 years old, requires regular fixes, or the repair estimate nears half the cost of a new system, investing in a replacement could be the wiser long-term move. An expert evaluation can guide you through efficiency gains and total costs for furnace replacement in River Hills.
