Why Is My Heat Pump Blowing Cold Air on the Heat Setting?

This can happen for a few reasons. Your heat pump might be in defrost mode, which temporarily cools the air while the outdoor unit melts ice buildup. However, if the problem continues, it could be due to low refrigerant, a faulty reversing valve, or thermostat issues. We can identify the cause and restore proper heating performance!

What is the Advantage Plan Membership?

Our Advantage Plan includes member discounts , priority scheduling, and maintenance, including regular inspections, cleaning key components, checking refrigerant levels, and ensuring all electrical connections are secure.

Do I Still Need to Get My Air Ducts Cleaned with a Heat Pump?

Yes, if your home uses a ducted heat pump system, your air ducts need to be cleaned periodically to eliminate allergens and other debris from clogging your vents. We recommend professional air duct cleaning every three to five years, but more frequently when the Mesa area experiences intense dust storms. With both ducted and ductless heat pumps, however, air filters need to be replaced regularly (every one to three months is recommended) to maintain improved indoor air quality .
