Local AC Repair Service in Irvington, Kentucky

I cannot say enough about AireServ. My infusion motor went out on my unit and I actually went with another company to repair. That company came out, took me for a $100 emergency repair fee only to tell me they don’t have the part and will need to order it which would have been no problem if they actually ordered it… Days go by After that and they never even bothered to follow up with me. I called and called and never heard anything back from them about my part or if they were even going to attempt to order it and fix my unit. My family was without heat and due to the cold we couldn’t even stay in our house for a few days…. That’s when I saw a billboard and decided to call AireServ. They came right out and diagnosed the issue. We ran into the same issues with securing the part but there was communication and follow up the whole entire time. Needless to say they found the part and it was installed within 3 days of the original appointment. I want to thank my technician Aaron for his great work and customer service. He was very pleasant to work with and I could tell that he cared about getting my unit up and working. I will always go with AireServ for any of my future HVAC needs. Kudos to you guys.

The initial meeting with the sales rep took about an hour of questions and conversation before receiving a quote. Within days I had received 2 additional quotes. When I called him about cost differences, he agreed to reduce the price slightly to match another quote I had for like equipment. I still feel the price was steep after talking with several neighbors that had replaced theirs too fairly recently but our a/c was out and we were desperate. We had decided the original equipment all being about 22 years old, we might as wall bite the bullet and replace the whole system (heating and blower) at once. They were able to schedule our installation just a few days after signing the order which was very appreciated. The installers arrived in a timely manner, conducted their removal and installation in a reasonable amount of time, especially considering they were one person short. They didn't have the 16 SEER model we ordered so at installation, they replaced it with the same brand 17 SEER model at no additional cost. During the entire service call they presented themselves in a professional manner. Before they left, they went over basic operation with us and gave us the manuals and warranty information. The system works as expected. There was a wrinkle about a week ago when my husband was in the basement and noticed a natural gas smell. He found a leak in the gas line where the furnace connection was not completely tightened so he called for service. Maintenance personnel was sent out to make the repair quickly and everything seems to be right once again.

I was very impressed. The technician was confident, knowledgeable alert and talked to me about the system, so that I would be aware of certain issues and risks with the way my wiring was shielded, etc.. All seemed reasonable and no pressure to do anything. In fact, he said it would be safe to wait until the next time we replace the unit, as long as no kids were going to be hanging off of the power cables in the rafters — we have only the three cats to worry about. I even mentioned various promotions I heard about here on Angie's list reviews, and he was informative, but not at all pushy. It was our first experience with this company, but I can already tell the difference. Time will tell, but so far, so good. Aire Serv's service agreement costs about $19 more per year than my previous service provider, but Aire Serv supplies a filter with each regular maintenance visit, which about covers the difference in price. Actually the filter was the one thing lacking in the visit. The tech did not have any of my size in his van, but I had already changed the filter just a couple of weeks back. My previous service provider did not supply filters, so I keep a good supply on-hand. The tech made sure to mention that I should just remind them on my next visit and they would gladly leave me two filters. I feel confident that they will. Thanks Aire Serv!
