  • I recently contacted American Home Shield (AHS) to ask if they could contact a local company able to fix my home heating and cooling problems. AHS called in Aire Serv Heating & Cooling. Aire Serv promptly phoned me, scheduling a date for a Service Technician to begin trouble shooting my heating system. Initially, the Service Technician found a defective air blower control switch, requiring replacement. He was thoughtful and patient enough to educate me on my furnace operation and gave me a few tips on how to recognize any problems I might encounter going forward. Additionally, he took the time to suggest some ideas on how I might seal air ducts which would be useful in getting more efficient air flow throughout my home. The Service Technician then took a look at the outside AC unit. He noted the AC should be charged with refrigerant when the weather warmed up. I noticed that during the job he would take pictures of various components. The photos were for Margie, Aire Serv Dispatcher, to see the manufacturer’s info. Margie would use this info for cost and scope of work for approval from AHS. Then she contacted AHS for approval. Margie was able to secure the part and have a Service Technician come out and install it in my furnace. In short order the furnace was repaired and worked like a charm. When the weather turned warmer in May, the Service Technicians arrived they began to charge the cooling system with nitrogen. The system would not charge, so they began the process of locating the leak. They found a leaking evaporator coil. The crew also determined the condenser was not working. Again they took pictures and sent a report to Margie, so she could call AHS with scope of work and cost. The AC was an older piece of equipment, therefore parts were no longer available and the cost of total replacement was extremely costly in the eyes of AHS. Margie skillfully worked with AHS to facilitate a resolution that would protect her client, and be favorable to AHS. The end result was a replacement of the evaporator coil and condenser. I could not have been happier with the results. My new AC is up and running, smoothly and efficiently. I am very impressed with the professional standards displayed by all at Aire Serv. They were at all times respectful and thoughtful to me and my home. Professionalism by definition describes great knowledge and communication skills, while demonstrating timeliness and problem solving skills. Aire Serv has the whole package! I want to express my appreciation and gratitude for the service they provide. It’s nice to know there is a company such as Aire Serv available that I can call on for any heating & cooling problems I may encounter. Thank you very much. Stephen M.
