Do You Charge Extra for After-Hours AC Repair?

After-hours AC repair visits in the evening or on Saturday carry a $199 charge, and $100 of that charge is waived when you approve the repair. Standard appointments run Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday visits are typically not available. Our phones are answered 24 hours a day, so you can call at any time to schedule service.

Why Is My AC Running but Not Cooling?

An AC that runs but does not cool usually has a dirty air filter, a failed capacitor, low refrigerant, or a frozen evaporator coil. Start by confirming the thermostat is set to cool and replacing the filter if it is dirty. If the outdoor fan is not spinning or the home stays warm after an hour, turn the system off to protect the compressor and schedule a diagnosis.

How Can I Tell If My Air Conditioner Needs Repair?

An air conditioner needs repair when it blows warm or weak air, runs constantly without reaching the thermostat setting, or makes buzzing, clicking, or grinding sounds. Other signs include water pooling near the indoor unit, ice on the refrigerant lines, and higher electric bills with no change in usage. Catching these symptoms early often keeps a minor repair from becoming a major one.

Is It Better to Repair or Replace My AC?

Replacing an air conditioner is usually the better choice when the system is more than 10 to 15 years old, needs repeated repairs, or uses R-22 refrigerant, which is no longer produced. A younger system with a single failed part is typically worth repairing. Aire Serv of The Villages offers free in-home replacement estimates, so you can weigh both options side by side.

What Causes Water Leaking From My Air Conditioner?

Water leaking from an air conditioner is most often caused by a clogged condensate drain line, which backs up the moisture the system pulls from indoor air. A cracked drain pan, a failed condensate pump, or a frozen coil that thaws can also cause leaks. In humid Central Florida, drain lines clog quickly with algae, so annual cleaning during a tune-up helps prevent water damage.

AC Repair Built Around Your Schedule in The Villages

Fast scheduling and clear pricing when the Florida heat will not wait.

A live representative answers calls to Aire Serv of The Villages 24 hours a day, so you can report a failed air conditioner the moment you notice warm air from the vents. Same-day service is available for every AC repair, which matters in The Villages, where indoor temperatures can climb quickly on a summer afternoon. Standard appointments run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Calling as soon as you notice a problem also helps protect the compressor from running under strain.
When your AC fails after work hours or on a Saturday, you can still book a repair visit. After-hours appointments carry a $199 charge, and $100 of that amount is waived when you approve the repair. You will know about the after-hours charge before the technician is dispatched, so there are no surprises on your invoice. Our standard weekday hours cover most repairs, and after-hours visits exist for the times when waiting until morning is not realistic for your household.
Your technician quotes the full AC repair price before work begins, and that price covers the job, not the time spent. The $99 diagnostic fee is waived when you choose to complete the repair. Financing is available, discounts are offered to seniors, veterans, military members, first responders, and teachers, and every repair is backed by a warranty and the Neighborly Done Right Promise®. We service all major air conditioner brands, and we are a fully insured, locally owned business serving neighbors across the area.

How Our Technicians Repair Air Conditioners in The Villages

Every AC repair from Aire Serv of The Villages begins with a complete system diagnosis, because warm air from the vents can stem from many different causes. Your technician checks the thermostat and electrical supply, then inspects the outdoor condenser for a failed capacitor, contactor, or fan motor. Refrigerant pressures are measured to identify a low charge or possible leak, and the evaporator coil is checked for ice or dirt buildup. Because humidity in The Villages keeps air conditioners running long hours, the condensate drain line and pan are inspected for clogs that can shut the system down or cause water damage. Once the cause is confirmed, you receive an upfront price and a plain explanation of the repair. After the work is complete, the system runs until it holds a steady supply temperature, confirming your home is cooling properly.
