I contacted Aireserv on a Monday morning. They said they could send a technician on Tuesday. Later that day Aireserv called back and were able to send a technician that day. Was determined leak was coming from coil main unit. Received estimate for 3 ton coil and charging the system. Aireserv installed the next day. Aireserv was prompt on all their arrival times and professional in manner.

This wasn't your typical service call. My grandson had just brought home a baby kitten that he rescued and we are going to keep it as a pet. He put the little kitten on the floor in our kitchen for just a minute and the next time we looked down the kitten was gone. When we got down to floor level and looked under the kitchen cabinets we found that the air conditioning duct has no protective grill on it and the kitten went into the hole and down the duct pipe. We could hear it crying but couldn't reach it. I put on some old clothes and went into the crawl space under our house to see if I could get the cat out of the duct pipe. The task turned out to be more difficult than I imagined. After considerable effort in disconnecting the duct that the cat fell into it was nowhere to be found. I next went to the main duct, took the end cover off and saw the kitten but he ran down the pipe and away from me. By this time I had disconnected several pieces of ductwork and done some damage to at least one of the ducts and decided I better get some help. I will add that I am 68 years old and found that crawling under the house was difficult for me. I went to Angie's list to look for some recommendations on an HVAC company with the hope that whoever I called would help us retrieve our lost kitten. I called Aire Serve and spoke to Carolyn who was immediately sympathetic to our plight, which was a blessing. I was afraid that the HVAC companies might refuse to take on the task of taking duct work apart to find a lost kitten and we would be stuck with no alternative. She immediately dispatched two technicians to our house and they arrived within an hour of my initial phone call. The two technicians, Rob and Carl, went under the house and got the kitten out of the ductwork within 15 minutes and then went about repairing the damage I had done to the ductwork during my attempt to free the kitten. After our drama with kitten was over I asked Rob about doing some additional repair to the ductwork of our HVAC system. About two months ago I had been told by another technician with different company that our ductwork was not in good condition and needed work. Rob left me with a quote for some follow up work and I would certainly ask the folks at Aire Serv to come back here to do that work. During this whole episode Carolyn at the Aire Serv office called to at least twice to keep us informed as to when the technicians would arrive and to inquire about how the job was going. She had a genuine interest in helping us find our lost kitten and for that we are grateful. She took the whole situation as serious and immediately sent help. Obviously a big thank you to Rob and Carl, who did the work.
